Hanna Marie Thiele advises and represents international corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups in all areas of IT law, data protection law as well as in all areas of intellectual property and copyright law. One of her main areas of expertise is advising on complex M&A transactions with regard to IP/IT as well as data protection law. She also specialises in data protection compliance projects and defending companies in data protection proceedings before authorities and courts.

Hanna Marie Thiele studied law at the University of Hamburg and at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne with a focus on information and communication. She also obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Edinburgh in the Master's programme Innovation, Technology and the Law. She then worked as a Robert Schumann trainee for five months in the cabinet of the President of the European Parliament. Afterwards she completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Schleswig in the judicial district of Lübeck with stations at corporate law firms and boutiques. After her second state examination, Hanna Marie Thiele initially worked as a lawyer in data protection law at a renowned large law firm. Hanna Marie Thiele joined KNPZ in Hamburg in June 2021.
