Details
Jan Schäfer provides legal advice in all areas of IT law, data protection law and intellectual property law. A particular focus of his practice is advising international companies on complex M&A transactions with a particular focus on IP/IT and data protection issues.
Jan Schäfer studied law at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, majoring in copyright and antitrust law. From 2015 to 2017 he worked as a research assistant at KNPZ. He completed his legal clerkship in Hamburg at a chamber of the Hamburg Regional Court specialising in trademark and competition law, the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information and an international law firm. He passed Germany’s second state bar examination in 2019.
Jan Schäfer has been admitted to the Hamburg bar 2019. Since then he worked as an attorney at KPNZ.
