Graziana Kastl-Riemann provides legal advice in the area of trademark, design, copyright, and media law, as well in all areas of intellectual property.
Ms. Kastl-Riemann has been at KNPZ Rechtsanwälte since 2017. Focusing on information law and intellectual property, she studied at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau and at the Universidad de Valencia in Spain. In tandem with her doctoral work at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau, she worked at the Institute for Information and Business Law of the Center for Applied Legal Studies of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology as part of a project for internet law supported by the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR). She completed her clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, with time spent at, inter alia, an American search engine operator and the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UN Organizations in Rome.
Graziana Kastl-Riemann is a member of the German Association for Law and Informatics (DGRI) and the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR). Her dissertation, entitled “Automation on the internet – implications for copyright and freedom of speech,” was honored with the science prize of the German Foundation for Law and Informatics (DSRI). She speaks German, English, Italian, and Spanish.
